9. The KwiqShop mobile app

This section explains what the KwiqShop app for Android and iPhone collects and how it is used. Everything else in this policy also applies to the app.

What the app collects

• Your details for orders: name, phone number, email (optional) and delivery address (region, district, area and landmark). We use them to deliver your order, contact you about it and send order updates by SMS and notification.
• Your orders: what you bought, amounts, payment method and delivery progress.
• Account details if you create an account or sign in with Google: your email, name and a sign-in link to your Google account. We never see your Google password.
• Notification address: a code from Google that lets us send order updates (and offers, only if you turn them on) to your phone.
• Crash reports: technical details when the app has a problem, so we can fix it. They do not include your name, phone or email.
• Usage statistics: which products and screens are used and searches that found nothing, without your name, phone or address. You can turn this off in the app under Settings → Help improve the app.

The app does not use your location (you type your region), and does not read your contacts, photos, files or messages.

Payments

Card and mobile money payments are made on the secure pages of Pesapal and Snippe, or approved with your PIN on your own phone. KwiqShop never sees or stores your card number or mobile money PIN.

Companies that process data for us

These service providers process data only on our behalf and only for the purposes above:

• Pesapal and Snippe: payments
• Next SMS: order SMS
• Google Firebase: notifications, crash reports and usage statistics
• Google Sign-In: signing in with Google, if you choose it

We do not sell your personal data.

Your choices in the app

• Offers and deals (notifications about sales) are off until you turn them on, and can be turned off any time in Settings.
• Order updates by SMS can be turned off in Settings.
• Help improve the app (usage statistics) can be turned off in Settings.
• Your phone’s settings let you turn off notifications from the app at any time.

What is stored on your phone

The app keeps your cart, your settings, a copy of the product catalogue and product photos on your phone so it opens quickly and works with a weak connection. Your sign-in is kept in your phone’s secure storage. Removing the app removes all of these.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app (Account → Delete my account) or by asking us. See kwiqshop.com/delete-account for what is deleted and what we must keep.

Children

The app is for adults (18 and over) and is not directed at children.
