If you are a PlayStation gamer from Tanzania, Kenya, or Uganda then you must have already noticed that Sony does now support your region. This means you probably opened your PSN account and selected another region for your address which is usually either United States, United Kingdom, or United Arab Emirates.
If you did so, to make purchases from the PlayStation Store, your Visa card, Mastercard, or Paypal region should match the PSN region of your account otherwise you won’t be able to make the payments.
This is where PSN Vouchers/gift cards come in. They offer a way to make payments and subscribe to PSN services bypassing payment methods by debit cards or Paypal.
PlayStation Store Voucher Restrictions
- The voucher code must be for the same region as your account. If you have a physical card, look for a printed flag indicating its country.
- In order to redeem some subscription vouchers, you may need a valid payment method on the account.
- PlayStation®Plus trial vouchers can only be redeemed on accounts that have not previously subscribed to PlayStation Plus.
- It is not possible to transfer funds or content between accounts, so make sure to redeem your code on the correct account.
Go to PlayStation Store
Scroll to the bottom of the sidebar
Carefully enter the code and select Redeem.
The credit or content is now applied to your account.
